For over 20 years, the Children's Rights Collaborative (CRC) of Northwest Ohio had provided safe and secure visitation & exchange services for families experiencing separation because of divorce or family break-up.
We ensure that children can spend time with parents by providing court-mandated supervised or monitored visits, as well as supervised exchanges. Learn more about each type of visit offered by CRC below.
We believe that every child has the right to see both parents whenever possible, without parental conflicts. We work to ensure kids can continue meaningful relationships with custodial & non-custodial parents.
In a supervised visit, the visiting parent is never left alone with the child(ren). Trained CRC volunteers take notes and observe interactions between parents and children throughout the visit. Notes can be used by any party for court cases.
In a monitored visit, the visiting parent has a private visit with the child(ren). A trained volunteer monitors the visit every 15-20 minutes. Notes, taken throughout the visit, can be used by either party for court appearances.
A supervised exchange is a service provided for parents exchanging a child(ren) for a few hours during the week or for a weekend. The children can play in our staffed waiting area during the 15 minute wait between parent drop-off and pick-up.

To begin the visitation/exchange process, both parents must appear, separately, for scheduled intake interviews at the CRC office. Copies of existing court orders — including orders of protection — must be provided to the CRC. Parents register and agree to rules established to help ensure safe, conflict-free visits with child(ren).
